Coconut oil is solid at temperatures 76*F and below. It will start to liquefy at temperatures above 76*F -- this does not mean that it has gone bad and you can continue to use it. All our products containing coconut oil will soften or even liquefy when warmed, so it is not a good idea to leave them in your car on a summer day or you will likely have a big oily mess to clean up! A cool place away from direct sunlight is best for storage. If you find that any of your products have melted, just put them in the fridge and they will firm right up. Make sure you don't grab them instead of the butter for your morning toast!
All our liquid or gel products need to be shaken before each use as many of the ingredients tend to separate after sitting for long periods.
All our moisturizing products (balms, body butters, face creams, etc.) are very rich, so it's best to use them sparingly at first until you know how much feels right for your skin. A little goes a long way! Also, the body and face scrubs, if used in the shower, may make the shower floor a bit slippery, so use caution.

Our deodorant is NOT an antiperspirant! Do not expect it to stop you from sweating, because it won't. We are meant to sweat, and typical antiperspirants just clog pores with potentially harmful aluminum salts. Our deodorant will allow you to sweat while neutralizing the odor that is caused when bacteria and moisture combine.
Because our shampoo is made with natural castile soap, not synthetic detergent, it can leave behind a residue--especially if you have hard water. That's why it's important to follow it up with the conditioning rinse, which will remove any soap residue, detangle and restore your hair's natural pH. If you are accustomed to typical shampoos and conditioners, these will feel different, but together they work quite well, especially if your hair is on the dry and\or damaged side.
